Share the Warmth

What is Share the Warmth?
Share the Warmth is a not-for-profit, province-wide organization that assists low-income households with their heating and energy needs.

  • Share the Warmth delivers energy assistance.  They do this by forming partnerships with community agencies that serve seniors, families, and disabled or terminally ill persons living at or near the poverty level.
  • These licensed agencies work on behalf of Share the Warmth.  They are specially trained to process energy-assistance applications. These partnered agencies are at the front-line of the Share the Warmth program.  They identify clients in need, assist them with completing their applications and finally, process the applications online through Share the Warmth’s specialized application.
Are you facing service termination or going to be disconnected?
Seniors, families, disabled or terminally ill persons, who are in emergency circumstances, may apply for energy assistance.  Singles and couples are eligible only in areas where funding allows.

How do I apply?
You can contact your local participating utility for the nearest application centre or by contacting Share the Warmth directly at info@sharethewarmth.org.
