SUBSIDIZED HOUSING
Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association
www.onpha.on.ca
Non-profit housing helps:
- Frail seniors to stay in their home communities
- Low-income families live in an affordable home
- Disabled people - they are given independence
- Those who are hard to house, find a decent home
How does non-profit housing work?
Non-profit housing receives government funding to make the homes affordable to people with low and moderate incomes. Tenants pay rent based on what they can afford.
How do I apply for Housing?
There is a long-wait list for non-profit housing. To join the waiting list you contact the coordinated access centre in your community. These centres give you information on the non-profit, co-op and public housing in your area.
